Hi Claire, Thanks for the comment. I haven't actually seen a lag in @mentions on Hootsuite yet. I wonder if it's a Twitter API issue. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll keep an eye on my @mentions to see if there's a discrepancy.

Patti - I'm so glad you found my www.BusinessBlogAngel.com site and left a comment, because now I've found YOU!

I absolutely LOVE Hootsuite - except for on my netbook where it can get a little cramped - but like you - the stats are my favourite thing...

I always say to my clients - "Don't get caught up on how many people are 'following' you in Twitter - it's how many are *listening* that's the important." The stats give you a really good idea of how responsive your followers are - your true 'reach'. Having said that, I would also warn that recent comparisons between Hootsuite stats and "Who'sOn" 'live-help' software on a partner's site, shows a HUGE discrepancy between the 2 sets of figures. We're yet to get to the bottom of that one.

My other confusion with Hootsuite is the 'Mentions' column... that used to what it sounds like - any tweet with your @twittername in it. But lately, I've had people RT me or mention me in a tweet and it hasn't shown up in that column. (Luckily I've seen it in the 'live feed' or I'd have missed it altogether) Any ideas why that might be Patti?

Look forward to dropping by regularly

Warmest
Claire
